AEP Texas

Dear Friends,

Being involved in our communities is the right thing to do. That’s how we at AEP Texas see it. While our primary mission is to provide safe and reliable service to our more than one million customers, our employees live and grow in the many communities where we operate.

For generations our employees have invested numerous hours serving and volunteering in various community roles. They do so because it’s important to them—and if it’s important to them, it’s important to us.

Last year, AEP Texas contributed $1.6 million dollars to nonprofit organizations and social services agencies like the United Way. And, we did so with focus. ?Our goal is to make the greatest impact possible by helping agencies in the areas of education, health and social services, arts and culture, environment and economic development activities. These efforts reach the core of any community’s success. What’s more they help grow local economies by helping them attract business and create good paying jobs.

AEP Texas proudly supports organizations that are making a difference in the lives of our customers across our service area.? Some examples in 2019 included: Health and Social Services – Driscoll Children’s Hospital Development Foundation, Laura W. Bush Institute for Women’s Health, Halo Flight FOA, Mercy Ministries of Laredo and West Texas Rehabilitation Center; Education – Cisco College, Victoria Adult Literacy Council, National Association for the Advancement of Colored People and Texas A&M International University; Arts and Culture – Port Aransas Art Center, San Angelo Performing Arts Coalition, and Instituto de Cultura Hispanica de Corpus Christi; Environment – Abilene Zoological Society, Keep McAllen Beautiful and the South Texas Botanical Gardens and Nature Center.

We also support economic development programs and professional centers because these programs stimulate our local and regional economy, which in turn builds stronger communities. ??

At AEP Texas, we have boundless energy to help make our communities a better place to live and work for all of us—and we do so with thought and purpose.

We are AEP Texas!
