Public Service Company of Oklahoma

Dear Friends,

For more than a century, we’ve provided Oklahomans with reliable electric service at competitive prices. At Public Service Company of Oklahoma (PSO), we’re committed to enhancing our state’s social and economic well-being through community involvement, charitable giving, volunteerism and supporting economic development. The 1,600 Oklahomans working for PSO customers believe in the power of community and are committed to making a positive difference in the areas where we live and work.? ??

At PSO, we recognize a successful future requires investing in our communities and our state. In 2019, PSO and the American Electric Power (AEP) Foundation donated to more than 240 organizations in the areas we serve. ?To amplify that investment, we look to partner with others who are deeply engaged with our cities and towns.

As part of that commitment to invest in the future of all Oklahomans, PSO provided funding for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) related grants to multiple educational and civic organizations to ensure our investments are made right where they’re needed for long-lasting results.? As an example, After-School grants were awarded to Oklahoma FFA chapters throughout our service area. The grants are aimed at providing FFA students opportunities to learn and grow in STEM fields, and then use those skills to enhance their future and that of our state. We’ve helped to inspire wonder at the Tulsa Children’s Museum, engage the imagination at the Stafford Air & Space Museum and generate excitement for STEM learning with robotics teams across the state.

Along with PSO’s commitment to invest in our communities is the passionate value we place on diversity and inclusion. In our headquarters city of Tulsa, PSO announced a $150,000 grant from the AEP Foundation to The Center for Individuals with Physical Challenges’ capital campaign. The result of the campaign is the 37,000 square foot Hardesty Family Adaptive Sports Complex. In addition to growth in adaptive sports, this new facility has increased the number of services, programs and opportunities available for the physically challenged in our community.

Additionally, for the seventh consecutive year PSO was recognized by the Tulsa Regional Chamber’s Mosaic initiative as an outstanding employer for our workforce diversity and inclusion achievements.

Members of the PSO team donated more than 4,000 hours to countless organizations and community programs in Oklahoma. Our largest employee volunteer projects included the United Way Day of Caring and Fresh Paint Days, a Keep Oklahoma Beautiful program focused on improving and beautifying buildings and parks. We are at our brightest when we work together.

To see how we have delivered on this commitment, please view the report below.? It includes information on the nonprofit organizations, schools, programs and community events we supported financially in 2019.

We’re honored to serve Oklahoma.
