Coronavirus Relief for Small Businesses

Federal Resources

The federal government offers relief to businesses hurt by the coronavirus pandemic. Provided through organizations like the Small Business Administration (SBA), these programs help maintain your operations.

Small Business Administration (SBA)

  • Paycheck Protection Program – loans that offer up to 100% forgiveness to qualified applicants.
    • Re-opened in January 2021 with $285 billion in new funding, more flexible rules, a simplified forgiveness application, and provisions to help those struggling the most – even the smallest of small businesses. And there’s an added benefit: if you already received a PPP loan in 2020, you could qualify for a “second draw” on your PPP loan in 2021.
    • Eligible small business owners, self-employed individuals and non-profits can apply for a first-time or second draw PPP loan through March 31, 2021 or until PPP funds run out.
    • Learn about loan details and eligibility requirements, forgiveness terms and application process, and find a participating lender on the SBA website.
  • Economic Injury Disaster Loans – low interest loans for small businesses and nonprofits experiencing a temporary loss of revenue.
  • Express Bridge Loans – small businesses who have a business relationship with an SBA Express Lender can access up to $25,000 quickly.
  • SBA Debt Relief – financial reprieve to small businesses with SBA 7(a), 504, and microloans.
